A vocational training social enterprise project, Moto Doctor provides a real-life learning environment for 18 students from vulnerable backgrounds. Students participate in a one-year training course facilitated by our expert mechanics, while also accessing support to plan their next steps during challenging transition times in their lives. The project is powered by a partnership between This Life Cambodia and Lotus Relief Charitable Trust.

Why these product/services considered as GREEN? (what’s the impact on the environment/community)

As a vocational training social enterprise project, all profits from the Moto Doctor mechanics shop go directly back into the project to support learning and social outcomes for students.

In addition to real-world, practical vocational training in moto mechanics and repair, students have access to social work support and counseling from a full-time case manager who supports each student in setting their goals, planning their next steps and working through any challenges they may face within their families and communities.

The project aims for students to:
Gain strong skills and knowledge in moto mechanics and repair
Have access to a supportive learning environment that is positive and inclusive
Develop increased skills in communication, problem solving, and independence
Be exposed to positive experiences with peers, advocates and role models
Maintain and/or increase connectedness with their families
Gain the skills to open a business of their own, if they wish, and the skills to be multipliers in their community by sharing these skills with others working for them in the future
